Woman dies, man injured in Pettis County crash

blog

According to KRCG 13

One woman died and a man was seriously injured Tuesday night in a crash in Pettis County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Virginia Taylor, 84, of LaMonte, drove through a stop sign without stopping at the intersection of Missouri Route 127 and Highway Y, about eight miles west of Sedalia.

A Mack Pinnacle driven by Thomas Hurst, 40, of Marshall, hit Taylor’s vehicle. Both vehicles traveled off the right side of the road and overturned.

Taylor was pronounced dead at the scene. Hurst was taken by helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia.

Dealing with the death of a loved one is often one of the worst experiences an individual could endure. This is especially true when the death of that family member could be attributed to the negligence of another person. Fortunately, Missouri law allows the decedent’s family to pursue justice and compensation for a wrongful death.
