Tragedy struck on Sunday evening when a two-vehicle collision on Route H at Innovation Boulevard claimed the life of Debra Bates, a 62-year-old resident of Russellville. The incident occurred when a Ford Transit, operated by 34-year-old Raechel Ford, veered across the center line and collided with the front left of Bates’ Jeep Compass, as outlined in the crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Debra Bates succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Lisa Roberts, a 63-year-old passenger from Lakeside, California, sustained serious injuries and was promptly transported to University Hospital for medical attention.
Raechel Ford, the driver of the Ford Transit, suffered moderate injuries in the collision and was also conveyed to University Hospital for treatment, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
