The crash occurred on November 1st, 2024, at 3:40 PM on Highway 19 and Highway CC. The driver of the first vehicle, a 1997 Chevrolet Silverado, was a 30-year-old driving eastbound. The first vehicle failed to yield to the second vehicle, a 2022 Ram 1500 being driven by an 82-year-old with a 61-year-old passenger. They were headed southbound. The Chevrolet crossed in front of the Ram’s path, according to the crash report, and caused the Ram to crash into the Chevrolet. Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene by Chris and Son’s Towing as a result.
Both drivers had serious injuries because of the accident. The 30-year-old was flown by the Phelps Air, and the 82-year-old driver was flown by Lifeline, both to Mercy St. Louis. The passenger of the second vehicle received minor injuries. The 61-year-old passenger was transported to Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan, Missouri by the Missouri Baptist Ambulance District.
