The crash occurred on August 21st, 2024, around 2:05PM on Highway 63, one mile east of Renick, Missouri. 20-year-old Sarah E. Dowling was driving a 2015 Chrysler 200 westbound when they failed to yield to southbound traffic, resulting in being struck by a 2016 GMC Yukon Denali operated by 27-year-old Caitlin D. Magers. This impact caused another southbound driver, 51-year-old Daniel W. Hager in a 2019 Ford F150, to strike the GMC SUV. Sarah Dowling sustained minor injuries and was transported by private conveyance to Moberly Regional Medical Center. Caitlin Magers and Daniel Hager both sustained moderate injuries; both individuals were transported to University of Missouri Hospital, Magers via Randolph County Ambulance and Hager via Boone Ambulance Service. All three drivers were wearing safety devices at the time of the crash. The 2015 Chrysler 200 and the 2016 GMC Yukon Denali were both totaled, and the 2019 Ford F150 was extensively damaged. All three vehicles were towed from the scene.
