On June 16th, 2024, two Colorado residents 63 year old Lynn Kerschner and 57 year old Marcia Miller were in a 2002 Nordic boat on the Lake of the Ozarks. Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that the accident occurred at the 15.6-mile marker of the main channel of the Lake of the Ozarks. Kerschner was driving the boat when they ran into a wake. The force from hitting the wake caused Miller to be thrown into the air before coming down to hit the boat. Kerschner was uninjured but Miller sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Lake Regional Hospital.
