The Crash occurred on July 13th, 2024, at 1:14 PM. 38-year-old Scott M. Jenkins was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Colorado northbound on Highway 63 at Phelps County Road 5240 and slowed down to make a right turn. 47-year-old Esther M. Gann was driving behind him in a 2010 Ford Edge. Esther Gann failed to yield and rearended the Chevrolet Colorado. Gann did not sustain any injuries but Scott Jenkins and a 14-year-old juvenile riding in Jenkins’ vehicle were seriously injured. They were both transported to Phelps Health by Phelps Health EMS. The Ford Edge sustained extensive damage but was driven from the scene. The Chevrolet Colorado was totaled in the accident and was towed from the scene but D and D Towing.
