Two people were killed early Wednesday morning in a single-vehicle crash in Jefferson County.
The crash happened around 2:10 a.m. on July 22, 2026, on Route MM at Miller Road. A 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer crossed the center line, ran off the left side of the roadway, and struck a rock bluff.
The 19-year-old driver and a 17-year-old passenger both suffered fatal injuries and were pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Chevrolet Trailblazer was totaled and towed from the scene. The crash report states that neither the driver nor the passenger was wearing a safety device at the time of the crash.
