A three-vehicle crash in Osage County left two drivers with minor injuries Thursday morning after a pickup truck crossed the center line on Route B, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred around 6:55 a.m. on May 7 along Route B about a half-mile south of the Miller County line in Osage County.
According to the crash report, a 1993 Ford F-150 traveling south crossed the center line and struck a northbound 2020 GMC Sierra. The GMC Sierra then rotated and collided with a 2025 Cadillac XT4 traveling north. After the impact, the Cadillac struck a farm fence.
The 30-year-old driver of the Ford F-150 from Meta sustained minor injuries and was transported by private vehicle to Capital Region Medical Center. The 66-year-old driver of the GMC Sierra from St. Elizabeth also suffered minor injuries and was transported by private vehicle to the same hospital.
Troopers reported moderate damage to the Ford F-150 and total damage to the GMC Sierra. Both vehicles were towed from the scene by Osage County Towing. The Cadillac XT4 sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.
Head-on and center-line crossover crashes can be especially dangerous because they often occur at highway speeds with little time for drivers to react. Motorists are encouraged to remain alert on rural roadways and avoid distractions that can lead to lane departures; all drivers on the road are expected to drive with the upmost level of caution, with the expectation that other drivers on the road are doing the same.
All facts reported on are based on preliminary investigation done by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
