One person was seriously injured Wednesday evening in a rear-end crash on U.S. 54 in Camden County.
The crash happened around 6:38 p.m. on June 11, 2026, on eastbound U.S. 54 at Cedar Heights Drive. A 2015 Toyota RAV4 was stopped and waiting to complete a left turn when it was struck in the rear by a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado.
The driver of the Toyota, a 70-year-old woman, suffered serious injuries and was taken by EMS to a local hospital. Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene.
The crash report states that both drivers were wearing safety devices at the time of the crash.
Rear-end crashes are especially dangerous when a driver strikes a vehicle that is already stopped and waiting to turn.
