At approximately 3:45pm on Friday, January 17, a 60-year-old female pedestrian was struck by a 2009 Ford Escape traveling eastbound in Clark County, Missouri, on US 136, a half mile west of the Iowa state border. The driver of the Ford, a 75-year-old man, was restrained, and the vehicle sustained moderate damage. After pulling off to the right side of the roadway, the Ford was towed from the scene by Brewer & Sons.
The female pedestrian sustained fatal injuries was pronounced deceased about an hour following the crash. She was transported by the Clark County Coroner to Wilson and Triplett Funeral Home in Kahoka, Missouri.
