One Seriously Injured in Collision in Benton County

At 8:05pm on March 8th, a collision occurred on US 65, south of Cedar Gate in Benton County, Missouri. The crash occurred as a 2024 Chevrolet Trax rear-ended a 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer, then crossed over the median and hit a guardrail. The Trax received extensive damage and was towed from the scene by Tolliver’s Towing and Recovery. The Blazer received moderate damaged, and was towed by Twin Lakes Towing.

The driver of the Chevrolet Trax, a 65-year-old female, sustained serious injuries from the collision was transported via LifeFlight to University Hospital in Columbia. She was not utilizing a safety device at the time of the crash. No injuries to the driver of the Trailblazer, a 79-year-old man, were reported, and he was utilizing a safety device.
