At 4:44am on April 18th, a two-car collision occurred on Holmes Road, north of Missouri 58 in Cass County. An unknown vehicle towing a trailer lost control and crossed the center line, causing the trailer to collide with an oncoming 2003 Toyota Corolla. The Toyota veered off the right side of the road and came to its final resting place off the highway. The unknown vehicle fled the scene immediately after the collision.
The driver of the Toyota, a 39-year-old man, sustained fatal injuries in the collision. He was pronounced deceased on the scene 5am.
