At 5:45pm on March 8th, a collision occurred on US-65, south of County Road 350 in Carroll County, involving a 2017 Ford Fusion and a 2012 Dodge Ram. The incident occurred as the Ford Fusion, traveling southbound, crossed over the center line and hit the Dodge Ram, traveling northbound. The truck was totaled, while the Ford sedan received moderate damage. Both vehicles were towed from the scene by L&L Towing.
An occupant of the Dodge Ram truck, a 59-year-old woman, was seriously injured in the collision. She was transported to CenterPoint Hospital by LifeFlight. She was utilizing a safety device at the time of the incident, as was the driver of the truck, a 58-year-old man. It is unknown whether or not the driver of the Ford Fusion, a 29-year-old woman, was utilizing a safety device as well. There were no other reported injuries.
