Boonville man killed in Sunday motorcycle crash.
State troopers say a Boonville man was killed in a Sunday afternoon motorcycle crash.
James Brandl, 59, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash near the intersection of Eleventh Street and Highway 87 around 1:47 p.m., according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report #200273323.
The patrol said a 2013 Ford Flex SUV driven by 66-year-old Karen Gately, also from Boonville, tried to pass the motorcycle.
Gately’s vehicle hit Brandl and he was thrown from his 2012 Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Troopers said no others were hurt in the wreck. Boonville police officers and Cooper County sheriff’s deputies assisted the Missouri State Highway Patrol in the crash, the report said.
