Motorcycle Rider Injured After Driver Pulls Into Oncoming Traffic on MO-30

blog

Just before 10pm on Saturday, May 31st, two vehicles collided on eastbound Missouri 30 at Route K in Franklin County, Missouri. A Dodge Charger was stopped at a stop sign on Route K as a Harley Davidson Sportster was traveling on MO-30. As the Charger began to go, they pulled in front of the Harley and the two vehicles collided, ejecting the driver of the motorcycle. He, a 28-year-old man, was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries sustained in the collision, and his bike was totaled.

Unfortunately, it only takes one mistake on the roads to permanently alter someone’s life forever. One wrong move or one disregarded law can be the difference between getting home safely and never being the same again. Luckily, Missouri legislators put laws into effect that ensure our safety when followed, like avoiding all distractions, maintaining order on the roads, and setting speed limits. Missouri law enforcement officers do a good job of making sure those that break these laws are held accountable, and that they are treated as the dangerous criminals they are. It is imperative that we all follow all of the traffic laws all the time, and that we advocate for the victims of drivers that failed to do so by rallying for appropriate punishment.
