The crash took place on September 28th, 2024, at 1:40 PM on U.S. Route 63 near Excello, Missouri. Kristopher Kidd was driving a 2020 Nissan Pathfinder southbound with two juvenile passengers, aged 6 years old and 8 years old. 55-year-old Kimberly Gittemeier was headed westbound in a 2024 GMC Acadia. As Kristopher Kidd in the Nissan Pathfinder crossed the intersection, Kimberly Gittemeier in the GMC Acadia failed to stop at a stop sign, causing the crash as the GMC struck the Nissan in the passenger side. Both drivers, as well as the two juvenile occupants, were seriously injured and taken to University Hospital. All occupants were wearing safety devices at the time of the accident. Both vehicles were extensively damaged, and the Nissan Pathfinder was towed via Prather’s Towing while the GMC Acadia was towed via Still Towing.
