Runner injured on highway after being struck by vehicle in Laclede County Missouri

The incident occurred on August 19th, 2024, at 11:10AM on Highway 5 near Olathe Drive. 52-year-old Kimberly D. Morgan was running at the edge of the roadway near a hilltop. Meanwhile, 48-year-old David L. Rogers was driving a 2012 Chevrolet Colorado southbound, and as they travelled over a hilltop, they side swiped Kimberly while they were running. Kimberly Morgan suffered from moderate injuries and was transported by Mercy Ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach. David Rogers was uninjured, and they were wearing a safety device at the time. The Chevrolet Colorado received minor damage and was driven from the scene, the status of the vehicle’s insurance is unknown.
