According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol a fatal crash occurred on July 23, 2021 in Crawford County, Missouri. The crash occurred when the vehicle driven by Allan Bates, 69, suffered a vehicle defect causing Bates to lose control striking the side of the vehicle driven by Mark Polsak, 45. Bates then crossed the median striking the vehicle driven by Frank Handley, 23, head on. Handley then struck the vehicle driven by Michael Semmens, 47.
When officials came on the scene Frank Handley, Eve King, and Ronald King were all in the same vehicle and pronounced dead on the scene.
