Morgan County on April 30th, 2020 at 8:45 p.m.-
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol Report the accident occured when James Lutjen, 19, of Versailles failed to negotiate a 2002 Buick Century around a curve and traveled off the left side of the road where he struck a tree. Lutjen received serious injuries along with Shawn Edgar, 23, of Gravois Mills.
Both men were not reported to be wearing safety devices and were transported by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital.
The Buick Century was listed as totaled and was towed from the scene.
Trooper JD Conrad, 243, of the MSHP’s Troop F worked the accident scene and crash.
