April 23, 2020 in Kirksville Missouri-
According to a statement by the Kirksville Police Department, on April 21, 2020, at 9:58 pm, officers of the Kirksville Police Department responded to a head-on motor vehicle accident in the 4700 block of North Lincoln Street. A vehicle driven by Jeffery Sullivan, age 29, of Glenwood, Missouri, crested a hill traveling south on North Lincoln Street in the northbound lane.
Sullivan’s vehicle hit a northbound vehicle driven by Jerrin Lee, age 17, of Kirksville. Firefighters from the Kirksville Fire Department extricated Sullivan and both drivers were transported to Northeast Regional Medical Center (NRMC).
A short time later, Sullivan was pronounced dead at NRMC.
The Kirksville Police Department was assisted by the Adair County Sheriff’s Office, the Kirksville Fire Department, the Adair County Ambulance District, and the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
