On November 24th, 2024 at roughly 5:30 pm a fatal car crash occurred in Morgan County. The crash took place at MO 52 at MO 5 according to the crash report. A 2009 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Ultra Classic motorcycle driven by a 39-year-old male was struck by a 1995 Ford F150 Truck. The Ford was being driven by a 77-year-old male. The motorcycle was headed westbound when the truck, headed eastbound, turned into the path of the motorcycle, causing the crash. The driver of the motorcycle was wearing a safety device, but the driver of the Ford truck was not. Both vehicles were towed from the scene by Garber Diesel.
The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced deceased at the scene by Dr. Roman with the Capital Regional Medical Center. He was then transported to Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles, MO by Mid-MO EMS. There is no mention of injuries to the 77-year-old man in the crash report. This is the 6th fatal accident in the month of November, and the 48th of this year.
