According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol a 2011 Jeep Wrangler driven by Madison Searcy, 20, was driving Southbound on US-65 and a 2006 Jeep Wrangler driven by Daniel Burch, 29, was traveling Northbound on US-65 in Trenton City, MO.
Searcy was using cruise control, struck black ice, began to slide. She lost control, crossed the center of the roadway, and struck Burch head on.
Both vehicles were totaled and were towed away.
Burch was seriously injured and transported by Mercer County Ambulance to Wright Memorial and then life flighted to Liberty North. Courtney Weyer, 25, a passenger of vehicle 1 was also seriously injured and life flighted to Liberty North.
