A crash Friday evening on Highway 54 at Lakeland Road in Lake Ozark left one person with serious injuries.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol told KRCG 13 the call reporting the crash came in at 6:05 p.m.

According to the MSHP crash report, Sandra Micklewright, 85, was traveling eastbound on Highway 54 and tried to use a crossover path to turn onto Lakeland Road. Micklewright began to cross over the westbound lanes of traffic and pulled into the path of another vehicle. Brogan Patton, 19, collided with Micklewright’s vehicle.

A passenger in Micklewright’s vehicle, Yvonne Streed, 86, sustained serious injuries and was taken to Lake Regional Hospital. Micklewright sustained minor injuries and was also taken to the hospital.

Patton did not experience any injuries from the crash. Both vehicles had extensive damage.

Traffic was diverted to Lakeland Road for some time before authorities stopped diverting traffic so a tow could take away Micklewright’s Nissan Altima.

Traffic was backed up at least 2 miles.

MSHP, Miller County Police, Lake Ozark Police, and Lake Ozark Fire responded to the scene.
