Car Accident in Washington County Claims One Life

At 11:38am on Wednesday, April 9^th, a car collision occurred on Missouri 21 at Peacock Road in Washington County, Missouri. A 2022 Ram 2500 was traveling southbound and attempting to turn left onto Peacock Road, when the driver failed to yield to oncoming traffic. The Ram hit the right side of an oncoming car, a 2013 Chevrolet Equinox, with the front of their truck, and received moderate damage. The Equinox was totaled in the collision. Both vehicles were displaced from the scene by Elliot Motors.

The driver of the Equinox, a 55-year-old man, was seriously injured in the crash, and was taken to Mercy Hospital South by the Washington County Ambulance District. An occupant of the collision, a 63-year-old woman, unfortunately succumbed to her injuries sustained in the crash, and was pronounced deceased on the scene 38 minutes following the crash.
