On April 21st at 8:20pm, a collision occurred on Missouri 7, east of SE 571st Road in Clinton, Missouri. As a 2012 Dodge 3500, traveling southbound, was passing an uninvolved vehicle, they entered into the lane of—and struck—a 2024 Genesis GV80 head on. Both vehicles traveled off the south side of roadway and came to a stop there. Both vehicles were totaled in the collision and were removed from the scene by Clinton Wrecker Towing and Recovery.
A 36-year-old male traveling in the Dodge sustained moderate injuries in the collision, and was not taken to a hospital following the incident. Another 36-year-old male in the same vehicle sustained serious injuries, and he was taken to Research Hospital in Kansas City. An occupant of the Genesis, 52-year-old female, sustained serious injuries as well, and was taken to the same hospital. All injured parties were utilizing a safety device at the time of the collision.
