At 10:45am on April 24th, a collision occurred on Highway 136, 1.5 miles east of Lancaster in Schuyler County, Missouri. A 1998 Dodge Dakota, traveling eastbound, collided with a 2014 Toyota Rav 4 at the center line, head on. Both vehicles were totaled in the collision and removed from the scene by Lakeside Towing.
The driver of the Toyota Rav 4, a 63-year-old woman, sustained fatal injuries in the collision. She was transported to Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville after being in the accident, and succumb to her injuries four hours later. The driver of the Dodge Dakota, a 59-year-old man, also sustained fatal injuries in the collision. He was pronounced deceased on the scene 10 minutes following the accident.
