On Thursday, February 27th, at approximately 8:38pm, a single car collision occurred on Business 60 in Aurora, Lawrence County, Missouri after a 2009 Honda Civic veered off the left side of the road, struck a utility pole, and then continued to flip over several times.
The Honda Civic, traveling westbound on Business 60, was totaled as a result of the crash and towed from the scene by Hillbilly Towing of Marionville, Missouri. The driver of the vehicle, a 19-year-old male sustained minor injuries and was taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. A 17-year-old male passenger also sustained minor injuries, and was taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield. Another passenger, a 16-year-old male, sustained serious injuries and was taken to Mercy Hospital. It is unclear whether or not they were utilizing any safety devices in the vehicle at the time of the crash. Another passenger, a 16-year-old female, sustained serious injuries and was taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield. Missouri State Highway Patrol can confirm the female passenger was not using a safety device at the time. All passengers were transported to their respective hospitals by Mercy Ambulance.
