At 2:20pm on April 21st, a rear-end collision involving two semi-trucks occurred at mile marker 65.2 on Interstate 70 in Saline, County, Missouri. As a 2023 Freightliner Cascadia stopped for traffic congestion, a 2019 International Truck overtook the other truck and collided with the towed unit. The Freightliner received moderate damage, while the International Truck was totaled in the collision. Both vehicles were towed by Don’s Truck Towing.
The driver of the International Truck, a 33-year-old male from Missouri, sustained serious injuries in the collision. He was taken to CenterPointe Hospital by life-flight.
