At approximately 8:48pm on March 12th, a collision occurred as one vehicle hit another on I-49 Northbound in Bates County, Missouri. A 54-year-old man driving a 2005 Kenworth T6001 semi-truck rear-ended a 2021 Cadillac XT4, driven by a 45-year-old man.
The Kenworth truck received minor damage in the crash and was not removed from the scene. The Cadillac was totaled and secured on the side of the road. The driver of the Cadillac sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision and was transported to Cass Regional Medical Center by Central Cass Fire.
