One Left Seriously Injured After Collision in Scotland County

On March 3rd at approximately 7:35am, a two-car collision occurred on US 136 near Arbela, Missouri as one car failed to yield to traffic on the roadway. A 2004 Chevrolet Silverado, traveling southbound, entered into the path of a 1998 GMC Sierra, traveling eastbound, resulting in the collision. Both vehicles were totaled and displaced from the scene by Lakeside Towing.

The driver of the Silverado, a 92-year-old man, sustained minor injuries in the collision and was taken to Scotland County Hospital via Scotland County Ambulance. The driver of the Sierra, a 46-year-old woman, sustained serious injuries and was also taken to Scotland County Hospital via the same ambulance service. Both drivers were utilizing a safety device in the vehicles at the time of the accident.
