blog

On May 4th at 5:43 pm, a massive head-on collision occurred on Highway 169 in Franklin County, Kansas. As a GMC Yukon was traveling southbound, driven by a 33-year-old, it tried to pass another vehicle, and in the process crashed into a Subaru Legacy traveling northbound. The driver and all passengers of the Subaru died in the crash, as did the driver and four occupants of the Yukon.

Kansas, and all 49 other states, have laws in place to protect all drivers on the roads. Laws prohibit dangerous behaviors behind the wheel, like texting and driving, hyper-aggression, and careless or reckless driving in general. To keep us safe these laws are strictly enforced, and violation of such laws can result in hefty fines and substantial jail time. Violating laws meant to keep yourself and others safe is inexcusable behavior, oftentimes resulting in egregious wrecks like this one, and should not go unpunished.
