Eastbound Traveler enters Westbound Wrongway on I-70 in Saline County and Causes Serious Crash.

blog

At 9pm on April 29th, a massive motor vehicle crash occurred on Interstate 70 eastbound, at mile marker 64.8. A 2006 Hummer H2, driven by a 72-year-old Florissant, Missouri man, crossed through the median and began traveling the wrong direction into oncoming traffic, endangering numerous lives. This crime could have resulted in substantial jail time for the driver of the Hummer for Careless & Imprudent Driving. On top of this, it is unknown whether the driver of the Hummer has insurance, meaning he may not have met the auto insurance requirements in Missouri, which states that all drivers are required to carry a minimum of $25,000 in liability limits. If he did have insurance, it will hire a defense attorney that will attempt to explain why he should not be held responsible. Wreckless drivers are not a rare occurrence, but this egregious behavior could have been prevented had he followed the laws carefully.
