At 8:00am on April 28th, a massive crash ensued on northbound Highway 133 near Rawlins Road in Pulaski County. A 19-year-old male driving a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado crossed over the center line—implying he may have been distracted or otherwise impaired—and hit a truck, and then hit a minivan. After the initial collision, all cars proceeded to leave the roadway and sustain more damage to the vehicles and to their occupants.
Careless & Imprudent Driving is a serious criminal offense that could result in hefty fines and substantial jail time. Endangering other lives on the road due to one’s own negligence is not only selfish, but extremely harmful, and unfortunately not uncommon. This horrific accident, and others similar, are preventable and would not have occurred had the driver of the Silverado followed the laws.
