Missouri requires a minimum of $25,000 in automobile insurance limits, and disobeying this can have serious consequences, such as fines, license suspension, jail time, and other reinstatement fees and requirements for repeat offenders. On top of that, it’s possible that this wreck, and others similar, were caused by negligent drivers in violation of other laws instituted for our safety. Careless & Imprudent Driving is a very serious offense that can carry as severe of penalties as jail time as well, and is often seen with other distracted-driving related offenses. It is extremely important to follow all the laws and to maintain safety for all drivers and passengers on the road.
