At 2:52pm on April 17th, a three-car collision occurred on Highway 142, a half a mile south of Poplar Buff in Butler County, Missouri. A 2016 Jeep Wrangler pulled into the path of a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu, causing the Jeep to collide with a 2010 Dodge Dart. The Jeep and the Malibu were both totaled in the collision and removed from the scene by Barkers Towing. The Dart received minor damage and driven away from the scene.
An occupant of the Malibu, a 37-year-old man, sustained serious injuries in the collision. He was taken to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center by EMS. He was not utilizing a safety device at the time of the crash.
